What People are saying after taking the program...
"Steve is a skillful facilitator who brings decades of project management experience to bear on the daunting task of getting scatterbrained artists to recognize both their strengths and weaknesses and tap the twin reservoirs of encouragement and accountability to bring their projects to fruition. I loved being part of Action Traction, and with Steve’s guidance and a supporting cast of fellow creators over 12 weeks, I finished a manuscript that had been sitting incomplete for years. Anyone who feels stuck on a creative project would be well advised to give it a try."

"Action Traction gave us the push to turn a rough concept for a storytelling-clowning show into a clear production plan, and early on, helped us build a project timeline that made the ticking clock both real and motivating. The countdown to each meet sparked a burst of last-minute hustle, and the feedback from others who’d tackled similar projects helped comfort and make sense for us with a project that we had never done before. Steve’s calm, easygoing presence kept the room supportive while still nudging everyone to celebrate real progress."
Dan McNeill Co-Creator of a new theatre show
"I participated in the Action Traction programme because, as an artist who has been active for over 50 years, much of the work I have created remains in storage. I felt that I need help to identify and overcome the obstacles that were preventing me from finding an audience for my work.
Steve’s meetings provided a goal-oriented structure to focus on and an opportunity to share stimulating conversations with others in similar circumstances. I found this to be highly motivating and inspired me to take the concrete steps necessary to make real progress and alleviate the self-doubt that I was experiencing. By the second session I had created a substantial portfolio of my work; presenting it to the group helped boost my confidence immensely.
To cap things off one of the other participants knew of a local venue that was interested in exhibiting artworks. This connection resulted in my having a show - a huge step towards my goal.
So I would highly recommend this programme to anyone looking for inspiration, motivation, and some keys to removing obstacles that might be getting in the way of achieving their goals. I might do it again!"
